Chinese Peony in Blush by Lee Jofa

Drawn from a mid-19th century English chintz, Chinese Peony is a lush screen print depicting a floral motif celebrated in Chinese art and design for centuries. The original document included a strong outline around the motifs, which the Lee Jofa studio removed to create a softer, more painterly effect.
