Cyan Design - Large Malkata Vase Designed by J Kent Martin in Brass

The Malkata palace sat upon the west bank of the Nile in ancient Egypt overlooking the Valley of the Kings. Extravagant works of art adorned the palace walls depicting Gods and Goddesses amongst flora and fauna. Amidst those paintings were decorative geometric designs that inspired the Malkata vase collection. Inlaid black faux horn is framed by brass-finished cast aluminum along the front side of the vases. A rectangular body is topped by a smaller opening alluding to a guarded gate tower that once stood on the palace grounds.
